It’s a COFFEE Business!
A new team member says to me, “You expect me to call people on my list and ask them to buy coffee from me?!?”
(We were sitting in a Starbucks store at the time.)
I asked him, “Ok … if you were somehow able to buy this Starbucks store that we are sitting in for less than $2,000, are you telling me you wouldn’t be calling everyone you know and telling them to come buy a cup of coffee from you?”
He said, “Well, of course I would. But that’s different.”
I said, “You’re right. It’s a lot different.
This Starbucks store has a LOT of overhead in the form of rent, payroll expenses, employees, insurance, etc…
I don’t have any of that stuff to deal with.
This Starbucks can only make money when people physically walk in to the store and that can only happen during fixed hours.
My customers can buy coffee from me in more than 20 different countries, 24/7… and I don’t have to be in any particular location for that to happen.
You can’t even buy a Starbucks store!
You can start this business for less than $2,000.”
He got out his list and started calling. Made money, too!
